T O P I C R E V I E Wnext to neptuneLately I've found myself wanting to have children and a family. Actually this is a dream that's just getting bigger and bigger, though it just started. I'm only 25, but many people around my age already have their first kid. I am virgo sun + mars in 4th house, mercury in 4th house and cancer asc + jupiter. So lots of cancer to pick from lol! Until now I have always tried to ignore the fact that I want children and family, but now I can see that this must be the ultimate wish for anyone who has a major cancer-influence.Sooo... do you know ANYone with major cancer-influence (or many 4th house planets) who really, truly DOESN'T want a family? Who is like 35+ and is fine with not having children? The only celeb I know is maybe Cameron Diaz, she is a virgo with cancer ascendant like me, and she have been single for so many years and is not looking for the man who can give her children...I have a very nice boyfriend, and I want him to be the father of my kids, but he is just an innocent libra sun with pisces moon and he got NO cancer-influence at all in his chart... nor any 4th house placement. (But he got a 5th house stellium, and they also love kids? )Aries23DegreesIts interesting that you Mentioned Cameron Diaz. She has North Node-South Node in Cap/Cancer respectively. She has Asc/Venus in Cancer conjunct South Node- "been there, done that" with regards to all things Cancer governs- domestic, home etc.I have Moon in Cancer in 3rd/4th cusp. I have the ruler of the 5th in Leo/Virgo intercepted.Sun(ruler of 5th)in Sag conjunct Neptune in Sag:Can't make my mind up about having kids. The ruler of 5th Sun,is in Sagittarius(mutable).Mercury(2nd ruler of 5th) in Cap opposite Moon in Cancer: Don't like the idea of settling to domestic life. But also feel a pull to give it a try.I am on the fence on this issue. But I do feel a strong obligation to have kids(2ndary ruler of 5th is Mercury and its in Capricorn)shyberryInteresting. I never actually put much thought into it. I always told myself I didn't want kids and marriage never seemed appealing to me. I have my natal Moon in Pisces here. To be honest, I just really don't like kids in general and I know that sounds bad, but I'm too awkward with them. I'm more of an animal person. I don't plan on having a family in the future, BUT with an active 4th house the idea is appealing. You're not wrong, I guess. I don't plan on having children, but if the right man came along and proposed the idea then I wouldn't turn it down. theunknownMy uncle has a libra stellium in 3rd and 4th. Doesn't want children. His wife got off pills without letting him know cause she wants children NeptunianSagI have Saturn and Venus in 4th, I don't, but I don't want to end up lonely. I've got lilith in 5th, so it's like "I'll never have time to do the things I want to do if I have kids." VacantGazerI have no planets but I have ceres conjunct lilith in aquarius in the 4th. I want to have a family of my own but I also have alot of fears about losing my independence too. But this could also be my venus square uranus.yellowelevatorI have Venus conjunct Jupiter in Virgo in the 4th, and Pluto in Scorpio in the 5th. Cancer ASC. As much as family is and always will be very important to me and I'm very family-oriented, I've always shied away from the thought of starting my own family, and having children in general. I feel like having children would be such a loss of freedom to me. Your life is no longer yours in a sense. You have to have complete and utter love, devotion, patience, willingness, and countless other things if you're preparing for motherhood/fatherhood. I don't think I would truly lack any of these things intentionally, but at the same time I don't know if I could 'measure up' to all that it takes to raise another human being. I've honestly never even really liked children much to begin with. They seem to take a liking to me which is nice and comforting, but I just don't feel that real spark inside that makes me go, "Hey! I want to be a mother someday." I don't know.Astrologically, I could probably relate this to my Gemini Moon and Mars, Uranus in the 7th, and Venus trine Uranus.GabbyI have a friend with taurus Saturn, Merc and Venus in 4th, no family and never wants to marry! His taurus Sun is 5 degrees from his IC also...he's 45 no marriage, no kids! next to neptune quote:Originally posted by yellowelevator:I have Venus conjunct Jupiter in Virgo in the 4th, and Pluto in Scorpio in the 5th. It is trine my 12th Leo Jupiter and square my 1st Virgo Saturn. I don't want to have kids and don't like them. In the past, I even just wanted to live alone for the whole of life. Now I changed my idea, I want to get married, but still don't want and don't like kids. I think they are annoying. But I love animals, esp., dogs. Any reasons? Wanting to mass-produce children is something else in the chart... and people who got over 20-30 children must have at least 2 different wives, that is being really buissy, not a loving and caring father. I think cancer don't want "a lot of kids" they just want the family-life, the home and to feel secure. No matter if that is 1 or 10 kids. But that list is just sick. next to neptune quote:Originally posted by mollywu:I have Nepture in Sagitarius in 4th house. It is trine my 12th Leo Jupiter and square my 1st Virgo Saturn. And having just 1 4th house planet in sag, is not especially cancer-influenced. next to neptune quote:Originally posted by Gabby:I have a friend with taurus Saturn, Merc and Venus in 4th, no family and never wants to marry! His taurus Sun is 5 degrees from his IC also...he's 45 no marriage, no kids! Well, saturn in 4th house is the exception of all exceptions with all things... it means delay, complicated feelings about the matter, or just plain fear... *sigh* I hate saturn in any house because of this, it's really an annoying placement... and in the 4th house, it probably means someone who has some difficult relationship with anything 4th house matter, and that could likely result in someone not wanting to have a family, or a very delayed one. whaaat.Gemini30I have a cousin who has her chart ruler in the 4th house. She has a 4th house stellium in Venus, Uranus, Neptune and 2nd house stellium in Moon, Mercury, Pluto, and Sun. Doesn't want to have a family and she's about 24. Although she has admitted that maybe down the road she'll seriously think about it, which means she has already thought about it and low key, wants a family lol. KiimberlyI'm not 35+, so maybe I'm not a good person to answer. But I have a fourth house Capricorn stellium that includes Saturn, sun, and NN. I also have MC & Chiron in cancer. I don't intend to have children (but I don't deny the possibility, as I do love kids), I have four siblings under 17 and don't feel any kind of pull towards establishing a family this way. I have been living with my partner for all but two months of our 5+ year relationship so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Most of my life does revolve around lessons of the Capricorn/cancer axis, though.Beautiful_LightHeyy, I'm also 25 but I don't think I will have kids until my 30s. I have Saturn, North Node, Uranus and Neptune in 4th house (all Capricorn except Aquarius Saturn) and Venus, Mars, South Node in Cancer. Kind of a tricky placement. Good luck to you!!aquagembabyI know a 4H house stellium. She's 28 and doesn't want her own kids. BUT she's worked w/ kids and gets along w/ them well. Lucia23The people I know with 4th house stelliums do want family/children, BUT, that said, I think the 4th house can also play out as overattachment to/overinvolvement with family of origin, either literally (living with parents as an adult) or figuratively (internalizing scripts and ideas from the family of origin/parents that don't necessarily serve you as an adult.)moongazeI am a Cancer Sun with Cancer Mercury and Venus both in the 4th house, a Cancer SN, and a Cancer IC, all except Mercury conjuncting each other. Kids appealed to me as a younger girl, but the thought of it now terrifies me. I am 24, so if I ever do decide to have kids it would be when I am older and if I find the right person while being able to financially provide for them, otherwise I would be fine without any. And if I do end up having a child, one would most likely be my ideal, with two being the utmost max. Although, people have always said that I am a natural with children. My own sister always claims I would be the best mother ever whenever someone visits with their child. I guess I am naturally equipped to being a mother, but I wouldn't ever fathom the idea of trading my career ambitions for a family with kids. It's just not a huge necessity for me and at the moment I am also too selfish and concentrated on other things. I am additionally very okay with being single and never want to get married. I have a Capricorn NN and MC conjuncting, so that's probably why.Piscean TigressMe!!!! I have 4th in pisces and I have a longterm relationship, but I haven't kids and never was my fullfill dream to have kids and a family.
